Intelligent Spatial Technologies' product the iPointer™, is based on research done at the NCGIA labs in the Spatial Engineering department at the University of Maine.  Image Initiated in the mid 1990's by the Greater Portland business community, the Maine Center for Enterprise Development (MCED) has become one of the most successful business incubators  for start-up technology companies in northern New England. The Target Technology Incubator provides information technology companies with the expertise, tools, resources and networks necessary to make their ventures a success. The Incubator is located within the Target Technology Center in Orono, Maine. The Center was developed by the Bangor Target Development Corporation in partnership with the University of Maine, the State of Maine, and the city of Orono.
